The Amador County jail roster is not a statewide criminal-history file, a court case database, or a CDCR prison locator. It is a booking and custody record for the local jail. A person who has just been arrested may not appear until booking is complete. A person who has been sentenced to prison may leave the sheriff roster and appear in CDCR CIRIS. A federal or immigration case may require the BOP, U.S. Marshals context, ICE, or VINELink instead.

- Use the Incarcerated People list for current custody and most recent Amador County Jail bookings.
- Filter or sort the table by name, booking date, custody status, charge term, or agency code when needed.
- Click the inmate name for more booking detail.
- If no record appears, call the jail or check CDCR, BOP, ICE, VINELink, or the court portal based on the facts.
Amador County Roster Search Fields
Amador's RIMS roster is more like a live table than a form with required name fields. The public configuration enables inmates, arrests, missing persons, case data, and the security-camera module, but it disables warrants, most wanted, stolen vehicles, press releases, crime statistics, and inmate photos. That means the inmate tab is the correct custody path, while warrants and court case details need other channels.

Amador County Inmate Profile Fields
A jail profile should be read as a booking record. It can help confirm custody status, arrest timing, charges, and bail fields, but it does not prove conviction. The Amador Superior Court warns users not to assume a criminal defendant was convicted of listed charges because charges can be reduced, dismissed, or result in not guilty findings. For filed charges and outcomes, use the court portal after the prosecutor opens a case.

When Amador Inmate Records Are Missing
A missing name does not prove a person is free or that no arrest occurred. The RIMS configuration requires bookingComplete to be true, so a new arrest can miss the public list while intake is still in progress. The roster also omits juvenile offenders and sensitive calls. Released people may fall off the public listing because the sheriff text only promises current in-custody inmates and most recent bookings, without a posted retention window.
Use a fallback chain. Call the jail at (209) 223-6521 or (209) 223-6522 for custody questions. Call the sheriff main office or Records/Civil at (209) 223-6500 for records routing. Submit the sheriff Request for Release of Information form for booking or release documents. If the person was sentenced to state prison, search CIRIS. If the case is federal or immigration-related, use BOP, U.S. Marshals context, ICE, or counsel.
County State and Federal Inmates
Amador County has three different custody layers in or around the same local records workflow. The Amador County Jail holds local sentenced and unsentenced people. Mule Creek State Prison and Pine Grove Conservation Camp #12 are CDCR facilities. Amador County Booking Process
After arrest, the jail records identity, arrest facts, agency codes, booking authority, and whether the booking is complete. The public RIMS record stores original arrest date and time, original arrest location, original arresting agency code, booking date and time, status, charges, and bail fields. The sheriff's general information page says an arrested person is entitled to three free local calls or three collect long-distance calls within three hours of arrest.
After booking, phone access can be used to arrange bail, contact counsel, or notify family. The jail also provides medical and dental care, medication delivery, and mental-health access through Amador County Mental Health. Booking charges still are not the same as filed court charges. The District Attorney decides what to file, and the court record tracks the case after filing.

The official jail visiting page separates male, female, and special-housing visits. Visits are generally one-half hour and inmates may receive two half-hour visits per week. Mail Calls and Inmate Funds
Incoming jail mail is received Monday through Thursday. Mail should include the inmate name, block and cell number, Amador County Jail, 700 Court Street, Jackson, CA 95642. A full return address with sender name is required. Legal mail is not restricted. If an inmate has no money, the jail provides postage for three personal letters per week.

Request Amador Booking Records
The Sheriff's Records Division maintains reports, incidents, citations, and original booking and release documents from the Amador County Jail. The records request page says completed request forms can be emailed to ACSORecordsRequest@amadorcounty.gov with a copy of the requester's ID card, or submitted at the Sheriff's Office. The posted process states a 10-working-day response timeline.
The request form asks for the date of occurrence, report number if known, person involved, incident location, requester contact information, report type, party-of-interest role, and certification signature. Juvenile reports are not released without a court order or Amador Superior Court standing order. Victims may be treated differently for fee purposes under the sheriff's posted record rules.
